You bring up some excellent points about the fear. Those in the moment type of feelings are definitely what get people. You're creating bottlenecks and limiting growth that's hard as it is to see.

The fear rarely looks dramatic while it’s happening.

It just shows up as hesitation, extra caution, and a slower version of the truth.

Good to read the real and raw challenges of leadership!

The need to stay in control, to feel useful, to avoid the discomfort of watching someone struggle when you know you could fix it in seconds. The harder part is choosing not to rescue when you know you can. Sitting with the delay, the imperfection, even the risk.

Not because it’s efficient, but because it’s necessary.

That is the work.

A lot of leaders call it support when it is really relief for their own discomfort. Holding back when you could step in fast is often the more honest form of leadership.
